15th Sep 2015

Expert in this field

One million people have had to leave their home after an 8.3 magnitude earthquake hits Chile, with strong tremors lasting approximately 3 minutes.

At least 10 people have died, with waves of 4.7m high hitting the coast town Coquimbo. A tsunami alert was put in place for the entire Chilean coast but has since been lifted. It has been reported that atleast 1800 people have been left without drinking water and hundred of thousands had no power.

Staff from our associates in Chile are already attending losses and we have teams of adjusters based in our offices around Latin America and available for immediate dispatch – we have extensive experience of working in Chile from all of our Latin America offices.
