Cunningham Lindsey announced today that David Pigot will rejoin Cunningham Lindsey to take on a new role as CEO for UK, International (CLI) and Major and Complex Loss (MCL) operations. Phil McNeilage, who has been UK CEO for ten years, is stepping down to take on a consultancy role in the group focusing on client relationships. Mark Thompson will return to Australia from where he will lead our South African operations, develop MCL operations and will continue to head up the global Forensic Advisory Services. These appointments reflect Cunningham Lindsey’s determination to maintain its market leading operations in the UK and to grow its complex loss and international operations.

David Pigot has over thirty years’ experience in claims, in the UK and internationally. He previously spent fourteen years at Cunningham Lindsey in the nineties and early 2000s, working in London and the USA, where he also covered Caribbean and Latin America claims. Prior to this, he worked as a loss adjuster and in management positions in the UK, Latin America and in the Europe region for Toplis & Harding. He has most recently headed up Marsh’s Global Claims Practice, where he led the strategic development and drove best practice in the claims team. This followed claims leadership roles at Marsh for the Latin America and EMEA regions.

David said “I am delighted to re-join Cunningham Lindsey and am looking forward to leading their UK, MCL and International operations. Cunningham Lindsey’s reputation in the UK is second to none, as was shown in the response to the recent storms. These are challenging times for the industry and I will be working hard with the UK team to look at how we can match our clients’ expectations for efficiency whilst retaining high levels of customer satisfaction. I am also looking forward to growing the international business and the Major and Complex Loss business, an area I helped to create in the nineties.”

Phil McNeilage said “I have thoroughly enjoyed the last 10 years leading the UK business and more recently, overseeing Ireland and South Africa. David is an excellent choice to succeed me.”

Mark Thompson said “I am looking forward to working closely with David to continue to grow and develop our major and complex claims adjusting and forensic accounting services”

Global CEO, Jane Tutoki said “David will be a huge asset to our leadership team given his wealth of experience both in the UK and internationally. David’s varied career encompasses all types of claims in many regions in the world and his recent experience will help us to further our broker facing services. I am looking forward to working with him to continue to  provide our clients in the UK and internationally with a customer focused and cost efficient claims service. I’m looking forward to working with Phil in his new global role and am delighted that Cunningham Lindsey will continue to benefit from his and Mark’s long experience in the industry.”

David will be based in Cunningham Lindsey’s London office and will start his new role in March.
